Amazing simply amazing.  Annica Rose's Adaptive Yoga Project has helped me in so many ways.  I'm a disabled firefighter retired with back problems.  Annica redesigned stretches I was given in Physical Therapy that were actually causing more pain.  She adapted stretches and assigned proper Yoga postures to help me while not jeopardizing other areas of my body.  This helped almost immediately.  Bottom line, they worked quickly, effectively and safely.  Working with Annica has strengthened my entire body, improved my posture, and increased my flexibility.  Pain has been relieved from my back, feet (plantar fasciitis), frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) leg and foot cramps, acute hip pain and has improved my digestion.  Overall Annica and her Adaptive Yoga Project has improved the quality of my life.  She is dedicated and effective in helping people with extraordinary challenges.  Due to her endless studies and hyper-vigilance she won't let you make mistakes or hurt yourself.  If you are hurting and don't know what to do next or just want to stay active call her.  You'll get honest answers, Annica is a Godsend with a pure and loving heart.

I have taken weekly yoga classes from Annica Rose for three years and always look forward to her thoughtful lessons and experienced practice of yoga poses. Her insights into life, her warm and kind personality and lifetime of yoga study are a perfect combination for me at this time. I consider her a mentor and have learned to breathe, concentrate and trust to a higher degree through this practice. I particularly like working on specific areas of the body each month.

I am truly honored and blessed to participate in and benefit from your Adaptive Yoga Project.  I came to class for the first time several months ago and felt anxious and fragile.  I tried yoga a few times in the past and came away from classes feeling hopelessly old and damaged.  The other people in class could execute positions and movement that I never could, not even as a child.  I came away feeling like there was no hope for me to benefit from yoga because my body was too broken and beyond redemption.  As your student my body has gained flexibility and the constant pain I have is more manageable.  As your student my spirit has been elevated and I feel for the first time in years that there is hope for me to live peacefully and gracefully in a difficult situation. The gentleness with which you and your staff help me execute yoga positions and your compassionate hearts make me feel safe and nurtured as I challenge my body and spirit to stretch and blossom.  As you know I only leave my house three or so times per week. Two of those days are Sundays and Wednesdays for adaptive yoga with you and your amazing volunteer assistants.  Your classes have become the events around which I schedule the rest of my week and the most important time in the week for my body and spirit.   I hope anyone living in pain and feeling hopeless will come to Adaptive Yoga. There is hope. It exists at Annica's Adaptive Yoga Project.

I have been a teacher for over a decade and have taken yoga classes for over two decades. Annica is without a doubt the most sensitive and knowledgeable yoga instructor I have ever worked with. I learned more about my body and how to manage my issues in just two hours with her than in weeks and years that I have studied with other teachers. I went into a  class with excruciating lower back pain and left two hours later with a warm liquid feeling where pain used to be with a deeper understanding of what caused my problems, which asanas would help and which stretches to avoid. Annica was able to figure out my own personal issues while tending to a larger class with uncommon sensitivity and kindness. I highly recommend her classes to anyone, not just those with mobility issues. She makes everyone feel welcome, included, taken care of and also empowers people to begin self-care and management of their own physical limitations.  It is a deep privilege and pleasure to take one of her classes.
