April 10th, 2010 event.

The Adaptive Yoga Project was present at Lover’s Point in Monterey, California to participate in the Northern California MS Walk. See flyer below.

Annica Rose, Yoga Therapist, founder of the the Project and Shakti Bell , a certified yoga instructor who lives with Multiple Sclerosis teamed up to offer Yoga to the Walk participants.. It was a beautiful sunny day.

Shakti as the ambassador of the Walk presented an inspiring keynote speech.
Everyone was so happy to be there, to have the opportunity to meet each other to be introduced to the Yoga warm up we did before the walk Throughout the day many took our flyers and were interested in the wonderful work we are doing.

We know that Yoga is one of the most helpful ways to incorporate a healthy lifestyle for MS and this was a great opportunity for the Adaptive Yoga Project to let people know what we do.

Shakti and her husband Larry actually took part in the walk and Annica stayed by the booth to demonstrate adaptive yoga postures and handed out information. Photos of the walk may be found
here.

In September we are offering a class for MS on Friday’s which Shakti will be teaching. It will be an excellent opportunity for our community to boost their wellbeing. See details on
Upcoming Events.

Blessings.
